Turtles When I was a kid, my mom bought me two little green turtles and a plastic turtle bowl with a fake palm tree. That's how it all started. As a teenager my room was filled with turtle tanks. Painted turtles, snapping turtles. I even had a box turtle I let crawl around my room. I put out a cat food dish and a bowl of water. One summer my parents decided to revamp the bathroom. Somehow I convinced them to let me keep the bathtub in the backyard. It was the summer home for my turtles. Then I grew up and somehow forgot about turtles. Till one day, about three years ago, I saw a baby musk turtle online. I bought him for ten bucks. Since then I have put two ponds in my backyard and have a small tank in my studio.
